General
Haywards Heath is a busy town with a population of around 28,000. Located in the heart of Mid Sussex within easy reach of Gatwick airport, Brighton and central London
The town has a Sainsburys superstore and Waitrose is opening at the end of the year. The Orchards Shopping Centre, South Road & Sussex Road have a wide variety of shops independent as well as well-known favourites such as Boots and Marks & Spencers. The Broadway is the social hub with bars and restaurants including Cote Brasserie, Café Rouge and Prezzo to name a few.
Surrounded by open countryside and many attractive villages including Lindfield, Cuckfield, and Ardingly. It is also ideally placed for many local attractions such as Borde Hill Gardens, Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park Gardens and the Bluebell Railway.
Transport
Trains: Both London Victoria and London Bridge are a 50 minute train journey away with trains running frequently. The South coast is only 20 minutes away.
Bus: there is a local bus service to the surrounding villages and further afield including Brighton, Crawley, East Grinstead.
Gatwick Airport: A quick 15 minute journey on the train and then the world is your oyster!

South of Haywards Heath lies Brighton, known as London by the sea and popular for its diverse mix of people with excellent shops, theatres and music venues easily accessible by car or train. To the North is Crawley, a busy new town providing a wide range of superstores and department stores. With large cinema complex including 4D and IMAX.
Schools and Education
There are excellent primary schools within the area and two first class secondary schools. For further education there is Sussex Central College.
The town also boasts plenty of training courses and classes for adult learning.

Haywards Heath is a popular town to set up a business, with a thriving business community. Many medium and large sized businesses are based in the town and surrounding areas.

Keep Fit & Leisure Facilities
Haywards Heath has a Places for People Leisure Centre with 3 indoor pools, gym, health suite and classes available. Their sister centre in Burgess Hill has indoor and outdoor pools including slides, soft play area and full leisure facilities. Ardingly Reservoir is a short drive away with sailing, paddle sports, fishing and windsurfing available. Others nearby include Haywards Heath golf course and Lindfield golf course.
There are also excellent facilities for football, rugby and cricket, including an all-weather pitch within the grounds of the Oathall Community College.
The Birch Hotel, Ockenden Manor and Alexander House Hotel located within a short distance. All have excellent accommodation and are popular venues for business networking, conferences and dinners.
Walks
There are many open spaces and several nature reserves within easy walking distance of Uckfield, including Millennium Green, Lake Wood and West Park nature reserves, as well as Views Wood and Buxted Park. All are suitable for dog walking off the lead. There are also many excellent public footpaths where you can also walk your dog off the lead.

Haywards Heath has many clubs and societies for a wide variety of interests.
Haywards Heath Town Day is an annual event that takes place in September and finishes with a firework display. In 2016 there will be extra celebrations to mark the 175th anniversary of the railroad coming to the town.
The other extremely popular local event is Lindfield Bonfire Night with a large guy positioned in the High Street on the day collecting money for Lindfield Bonfire Society. In the evening a torch-lit procession proceeds round the village with the final stretch down the High Street and onto the common, the lighting of the bonfire and an excellent firework display.
